Bregenz Festival is a spectacular event thanks to the floating stage set on Lake Constance. Seeing the sunset on the decoration elements is always a magical moment.
Madame Butterfly will be performed on the Bregenz lake stage for the first time this summer. Director Andreas Homoki and his team will create the aesthetics of the corresponding Japanese landscape on the shores of the lake. The Moscow-based director Vasily Barkhatov will stage Siberia. Masterpieces by Russian composers will also be performed during the orchestral concerts.
The Bregenz Festival is featured in a memorable scene in the James Bond film "Quantum of Solace". Beyond the anecdote, the location is so incredible that it more than deserves to be in the film series, famous for its extraordinary shots and scenery. The floating stage on the shores of Lake Constance is a magical place where a masterpiece of the operatic genre is staged each season. The impressive productions are set against the backdrop of the shimmering reflection of the lake waters at sunset.
