Find the greatest concerts played in the world.

To guide you in this difficult choice, we offer a selection of concerts presented during the international season. You will find all prestigious performers, pianists, violinists, conductors... in mythical concert halls

All you have to do is choose your concert and book your tickets !

But, let's ask, what exactly is a concert ?

And yet, the variations are so numerous that we sometimes risk getting lost. Indeed, solo recitals, chamber music and great symphonic shows are all called concerts. All this remains beautiful and great classical music but here again, the genres abound. Baroque music, medieval, romantic, religious works, oratorios, operas in concert, cine-concert, offers are many to delight all enthusiastic music lovers.

Most habitually, when you are comfortably seated in an armchair of the Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Musikverein, Concertgebouw Amsterdam or Philharmonie de Paris, you attend a symphonic concert. The big orchestras regularly perform on these mythical scenes. It is common to see the Berliner Philharmoniker in Berlin, the Wiener Philharmoniker in Vienna or the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam but also around the world during tours. Invited by the concert halls, these prestigious orchestral formations have earned a reputation for excellence often thanks to the conductors who lead with art.

The soloists join the ensemble to perform concertos by Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Dvorák, Sibelius and so many other composers to interact with the musicians of the orchestra. Whether they are violinists, pianists or cellists, as at the opera the artists unleash the crowds of classical music lovers. The big stars are numerous whether they are pianists with Martha Argerich, Lang Lang, Daniil Trifonov, Arcadi Volodos or Grigory Sokolov, violinists with Anne-Sophie Mutter, Vadim Repin, Julia Fisher, Renaud Capuçon, Janine Jansen, Isabelle Faust, to name a few. There are also great cellist soloists (Yo-Yo Ma, Sol Gabetta, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Gautier Capuçon, Truls Mørk), clarinetists, harpsichordists or trumpeters.

These great classical performers often tackle the more intimate repertoire of chamber music. In recital, they perform alone or in reduced formation but as for the symphonic, it is often advisable to book tickets months in advance, to attend a recital of Hélène Grimaud for example. Likewise, the singers often perform in recital because they have at their disposal an extensive repertoire of melodies, Lieder and Songs. When Jonas Kaufmann is on display, you should book his show tickets as soon as possible. Fans are well aware of this!

Hearing the music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy or Mahler can be combined with another attraction because concert halls are often places of incredible architecture. Acoustics take precedence over the set and yet, when you first enter the Musikverein, the excitement begins even before the concert begins.

Music & Opera has the great advantage of being able to offer tickets for the world's most famous classical concert halls. The gates of the mythical halls of Carnegie Hall in New York, the Philharmonie Berlin, the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome or the modern KKL Lucerne and the grand Philharmonie de Paris open to you.
