Before booking, we advise you to make sure that there are no travel restrictions from your home country.
Government decisions further to the health crisis are constantly evolving. We therefore invite you to consult the guidelines and rules applied by your local authorities.
In case of travel restrictions, if the performance takes place, it will not be possible to cancel your tickets, Music & Opera and the venue or the organizers of the performances cannot be held responsible.
In case of force majeure, all venues will apply, in order to protect spectators and artists, the provisions issued by their Government and this may result in the cancellation of the performance booked.
In accordance with government directives, an ID card and the Health Pass (detailed below) must be presented by all the spectators. Unfortunately, if you do not meet the following conditions, you will not be able to attend the performance.
- Either a full vaccination set (two injections)
- Or proof of a negative RT-PCR test or antigen test performed within the last 48 hours. Please remember that free testing is available.
- Or the result of a positive RT-PCR or antigen test that certifies that you have recovered from COVID. This test must be dated more than 15 days and less than six months prior to the performance
Spectators who do not live in France must have an official health document.
How do I know if the performance that I booked is cancelled or postponed?
Information concerning cancellations, postponements and refund terms will be communicated directly by e-mail, as and when th evenue or organizers make official announcements.
How can I get my tickets refunded in case of postponement or cancellation?
You will receive an email with all the postponement and refund terms and conditions.
You didn't get an e-mail?
Please check your spam box. If you still do not find it, a little more patience... That means that we are currently processing or waiting for information from the venue. We will send you all the information by e-mail as soon as possible.
I’ve received an email confirming the refund but I don't see anything on my account, what should I do?
Don't worry, this can vary depending on the bank and excludes weekends or public holidays.
If the credit card used for your payment has expired, please send us your account details to send you the amount by bank transfer.
My performance is cancelled and I will receive a refund by credit note.
In accordance with the decrees voted* by various countries following the Covid-19 health crisis, organizers of live performances are allowed to offer spectators a credit note instead of cash refund.
If the ticket refund is made by the organizer in the form of a credit note, ticket refund to customers will also be made in the form of a credit note valid for 18 months and of a value corresponding to the ticket prices.

How to book tickets for performances and musical stays?
How do I search for a performance?
You have several possibilities:
- By using the search engine on the home page or at the top of the main pages.
- By using the links CITIES, ARTISTS, VENUES, FESTIVALS which are at the top of the pages of the site.
I've just booked tickets, what shall I receive ?
For every booking, you will receive various emails :
- If you have just created your account, an Email including the account creation confirmation and your ID reminder,
- An Email confirming we have received your payment and your booking request, informing you that the booking shall be confirmed within 3 working days.
- An Email with your booking confirmation within 3 working days. This email will include your voucher or Etickets.
- An Email if your requested tickets are not anymore available. This can occur, though seldom, in the case of a high ticket demand, or if you have booked the ticket in too short of a time period prior to the event. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged.
- If you have not received any email, please check your Spam box. If you have still not received any document, please contact our booking department tel : +33(1)53 59 39 29 – EMAIL RESERVATION at least 3 days before your show
The seats booked are together ?
Your seats will be adjacent or grouped in pairs for any even-numbered seats booking.
If adjacent seats are no longer available when buying your tickets, we will offer you the best available separate seats and if they do not suit you, you may cancel your booking.
For odd-numbered seats booking, we will be able to confirm seats grouped by 2 or 3 minimum.
Measures COVID 19: A distance is provided by the theaters, the seats are either grouped by 2 or individual.
I don't know the exact seating booked :
You can choose the seat category when you are booking. The 1st or Plus/Premium categories correspond to the best tickets of the theater.
You can precise your seating wishes in your cart.
The exact seating will be confirmed when you will receive our booking confirmation.
When shall I know that my booking is confirmed ?
Your booking will be confirmed by email within 3 working days. If you don't recieve this email, please check your spam box or contact us.
Ticket non-availabilities may occur, though seldom, in the case of a high ticket demand, or if you have booked the ticket in too short of a time period prior to the event. In these cases, you will be informed within two working days and your credit card will not be charged.
How shall I get my tickets ?
The delivery process depends on each venue. It is precised when you are booking a performance and it will be confirmed in your booking confirmation.
Tickets may be:
- Taken at the box office with Music Opera Voucher that will be sent with your confirmation and that you have to print or show on your mobile phone.
- Sent by post to the address precised in your booking,
- Etickets may be sent by email with our confirmation. In that case your E-Tickets have to be printed in A4 format and presented to the theater entrance to have directly access to the performance.
I HAVE A GIFT CARD – HOW CAN I PAY, USING MY GIFT CARD ?
You are the recipient of a Music & Opera Gift Card.
You can use it to pay for any booking made on the Music & Opera website.
If the amount of your order is higher than your gift card, you can complete your purchase with a credit card payment, if the amount is lower you can use your gift card for further purchases until the balance is exhausted.
Your Gift Certificate code can be added at the level of the checkout page. Only one code can be used per order
I would like to give someone a ticket but I don't know their tastes and availability.
Please note that if you book the performance yourself and later learn that the person is not available, you will not be able to cancel your booking.
Instead, we advise you to give a gift card for the amount of your choice. The gift card is valid for 1 year on all shows on sale on music-opera.com.
I have a gift card, do I have to choose a performance taking place before the validity date?
NO, only the reservation must be made before the end of the validity of the gift card. However, the show can take place at a later date. The beneficiary can choose among all the performances on sale on music-opera.com.

Rates include the ticket face value, the venue administrative expenses, Music-Opera.com booking and administrative fees and VAT.
I search a performance or a venue I cannot find:
Music-Opera.com data base includes more than 50.000 performances and offers a quite complete information, but it's not comprehensive. So please do not hesitate to contact our Booking Department oru artistic Dept. to request a specific performance such as musicals in the UK, US, France ...
I cannot make the Payment :
You have to click on "I have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions" to finalize your payment.
If you have an account, it is necessary to log in.
Where can I find the seating plan?
You can find the seating plan on the performance page below the cast presetation, there is a « seating plan » tab.
How do I create or log in to my account at the shopping cart level?
If you are not yet a customer, you will be asked to enter your details to finalise your order. Your account will be created automatically.
If you are already a customer, you must log in by clicking on "Do you already have an account? Please log in. »
I have lost my password. What can I do now?
Go to the "My Account - Signin" page. There you can click on "Forgot your password? "and you will receive an email to create a new password.
How can I change my postal address?
By logging in to your account, you can change your postal address.
I am asked for a VAT number to place an order, where can I find it?
If you are a private individual, you do not have a VAT number. You need to remove the information entered in the «Company » field to be able to finalise the order. The VAT field only appears when the « Company » field is not empty.
At what time should I arrive at the theater?
First check the time on your ticket or voucher. In general, it is recommended that you arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the show.
Is there a dress code for attending a performance?
Most of the time, there is no formal dress code, smart casual seems the best.
Are the operas subtitled?
Operas are often sung in their original language (Italian, Russian, Czech...). In most large theatres, performances are surtitled in English and in the country’s language. Performances in churches or palaces do not offer subtitles.
Are there intermissions during the performance?
Depending on the performance, there may or may not be one or more intermission(s).
Be careful, in order to avoid the Coronavirus spread, Intermissions for most of the concerts have been cancelled. Do not hesitate to contact our booking service directly for more details about your show.
What happens if I arrive late to the venue?
If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to enter the theater. The doors of the venues are closed as soon as the curtain rises. Most of the time, latecomers can only be seated at the intermission if there is one.
I am unable to attend, can I get a refund or exchange my tickets?
Tickets already confirmed shall not be exchanged nor refunded except in the event of cancellation of the performance by the organiser. Tickets are not subject to the right of withdrawal. We offer a free resale service, click here to discover this service.
I've lost my tickets, how can I attend the performance?
Do not hesitate to contact us a few days before the show and we will be able to ask for a duplicate of the tickets.
