After his debuts in Lucerne and Lyon in Mozartian roles and the bel canto repertoire, Ludovic Tézier was invited to the major international stages (Metropolitan Opera in New York, Vienna Staatsoper, Scala in Milan, Liceu in Barcelona, Capitole in Toulouse, Royal Opera House in London, Salzburg Festival, Bregenz Festival, Glyndebourne Festival, Chorégies d’Orange) where he sang the major roles of the baritone repertoire under the direction of conductors such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Evelino Pido, Myung-Whun Chung, Riccardo Muti.
He has performed Marc-Antoine (Cleopatra) at the Salzburg Festival and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Don Carlo (La Forza del Destino) at the Liceu in Barcelona, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and the Royal Opera House in London, the title role in Werther (in the baritone version), Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Eletsky (The Queen of Spades), Escamillo (Carmen), Marcello (La Bohème), the title role in Eugene Onegin, Giorgio Germont (La Traviata), Scarpia (Tosca), Count de Luna (Il Trovatore), Posa in the French version of Don Carlos, the title role in Simon Boccanegra at the Opéra national de Paris, Alfonso XI (La Favorite) at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Capitole in Toulouse, the Salzburg Festival and the Bayerische Staatsoper, Posa at the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, at the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Vienna Staatsoper, Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) at the Bayerische Staatsoper, at the Paris Opera and at the Royal Opera House in London, Valdeburgo (La Straniera) and Don Carlo (Ernani) at the Marseille Opera, Amonasro (Aida) in Rome in a concert version (Warner Classics recording), the title role of Rigoletto at the Capitole in Toulouse, at the Paris Opera and at the Wiesbaden Festival, the title role of Macbeth at the Liceu in Barcelona, Scarpia at the Salzburg Easter Festival and at the Dresden Semperoper, Il Trovatore in Madrid, etc. He has taken on the role of Carlo Gérard in a concert version by Andrea Chénier in Sydney.
