His elegance, his finesse, the intrinsic beauty of his voice have made Piotr Beczala one of the most important tenors of his generation.
Lyrical at the beginning, his instrument has gained over the years and the repertoires tackled, the richness and curve sufficient to allow him to tackle without forcing, heavier roles for which he was not predestined. His prudence and his clairvoyance have thus led him from Mozart to Gounod, while passing by Lehár, Massenet and Puccini to more muscular Verdi and to Wagner with this Lohengrin tackled in Dresden in 2016, alongside Anna Netrebko, under the baton of Christian Thielemann.
His performance in the role of Rodolfo in La Bohème, as well as his incarnations of Romeo and the Duke of Mantua, have confirmed his status as an essential artist. Piotr Beczala has also conquered the stages of the world's greatest opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala and the Paris National Opera.
