Biography
Winner of the Richard Tucker Award in 2017 and the Beverly Sills Award from the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 2018, Nadine Sierra has since made her debuts at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, the Opéra national de Paris and the Staatsoper Unter den Liden in Berlin. In 2018, Deutsche Grammophon (Universal Music) released her debut album, “There's a Place for Us”, followed by a second, “Made For Opera”, in 2022.
In recent seasons, she has performed Violetta (La Traviata) at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Gilda (Rigoletto) at La Scala in Milan and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin and the title role of Manon at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. In concert, she has performed with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome.
She has also performed in recital at the Palm Beach Opera, the Grand Théâtre de Genève and in Kansas City (Harriman-Jewell Series), before joining Andrea Bocelli for a tour across the United States. She has been featured in Vogue, Nylon, Bon Appétit, Opera News and has graced the cover of Classical Singer magazine.
She is very active on social media, where she interacts with her fans by responding daily to messages, comments and other questions. His projects for the 2023-2024 season include L’Élixir d’amore and Lucia di Lammermoor at the Royal Opera House in London, Roméo et Juliette at the ABAO in Bilbao and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Luisa Miller at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, as well as concerts and recitals at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Carnegie Hall, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples…
