The Chamber Orchestra of Catania specializes in the revival of the Italian opera tradition. Formed by
orchestra teachers of the most prestigious Sicilian conservatories and the most promising young people of Catania.
Distinguished in the main national and international prizes of opera and symphonic music, the Chamber Orchestra of Catania
proposes in this Musical Season 2022 an interesting cycle of opera concerts for small orchestral ensemble and voices.

The concerts are inspired by the works of Catania's main composer, Vincenzo Bellini, and will transport the audience to the context of the opera production of the late 19th and early 20th centuries in which the Catania composer worked. From Mascagni to Verdi, from Rossini to Puccini, through Donizetti, Bizet, etc.

The concerts will be held in the prestigious and monumental church of the Badia di Sant'Agata, erected next to the Cathedral where the Maestro
Cathedral where the Maestro Bellini is buried. In addition to its precious interiors, the Badia di Sant'Agata offers a unique view of the wonderful city of Catania.
