What are the must-see shows at Prague's Státní Opera this season?
Consult the program of the Státní Opera, Prague's State Opera, and book your tickets now for upcoming shows.
Prague is a capital of classical music, one of the few capitals to boast three major theaters: the Národní divadlo, the Státní opera and the Stavovské divadlo. Tickets can be booked for any of Prague's three opera houses, where the voices are of exceptional quality.
Historically, the State Opera - Státní Opera (Prague's other major opera house) has always opened its repertoire to European works. Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss once conducted here, as did Schönberg, who premiered the monodrama Erwartung conducted by Zemlinsky.
