Having competed for many years with the largest venues in Paris (Opera Bastille and Garnier in mind), the Théâtre du Châtelet has undergone a revolution under the leadership of its new director to gradually abandon the opera performances and move towards a more diversified offer. The gamble paid off because within a decade, the Parisian venue has become the place where one can see the best of the American musical mixed with the the ´Etés de la Danse´ festival (Summers of Dance) performances or pop or avant-garde.
