Crystal Pite has created over sixty pieces for ballet companies such as the Paris Opera Ballet, the Royal Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada and many others. In 2002, she founded her own company, Kidd Pivot, in Vancouver. She is an associate artist of three institutions: Nederlands Dans Theater, Sadler's Wells in London and Canada's National Arts Centre. Her main creations include Betroffenheit, The Tempest Replica and the critically acclaimed Dark Matters. In 2019, she will create Body and Soul for the Paris Opera Ballet.
