The journey begins in Oslo, where Wagner’s Das Rheingold, the monumental prologue to Der Ring des Nibelungen, will be staged by Tatjana Gürbaca. Then, a baroque exploration will take you to Trondheim, where you will hear Sieben Worte Jesu am Kreuz, an imaginary cantata assembled from works by Bach to form a coherent whole, both theologically and musically. The following day, you will discover Carlo Francesco Pollarolo, an 18th-century Venetian composer, whose Ariodante (a character made famous by Handel) will be performed by Anna Bonitatibus and Marie Perbost.
