Vienna, the capital of music! Many famous composers have lived here such as Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, Schubert.

The Wiener Konzerthaus was inaugurated on October 19, 1913, with a concert attended by Emperor Franz Joseph I. To mark the occasion, Richard Strauss wrote a work specifically for the event, the "Festliches Präludium op. 61", which was followed by Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

Classical music, jazz, and contemporary music occupy a prominent place in the Konzerthaus's program, contributing to the celebration of classical music in all its diversity. Conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Carlos Kleiber, Pierre Boulez, and Claudio Abbado have graced its podium. It is also a hub for contemporary music, with no fewer than 650 premieres in the last fifty years. During a season that spans from September to June, around 750 major events are organized.
