Chorégies d'Orange

Discover the 2026 Chorégies d'Orange!

The Chorégies d'Orange, in the breathtaking Théâtre Antique, is a not-to-be-missed festival and one of the most grandiose in France.

The Chorégies d’Orange is the oldest festival still active in France. For over 100 years, opera, ballet, and even theatre performances have filled the vast stage every summer in a festive and warm atmosphere. Classical music lovers gather to enjoy a quality of listening that is quite rare in such a large venue. Like many festivals around the world, the Chorégies d’Orange are experiencing some financial difficulties following cuts in subsidies. Stage productions have not yet returned to the breathtaking Ancient Theatre, but the Chorégies d’Orange nevertheless remain an unmissable festival and one of the most spectacular in France. La Traviata, which will still be semi-staged, is the major event of the summer, featuring a cast that shines brightly, led by the great star Jessica Pratt. Another superstar, violinist Renaud Capuçon, will set the Orange audience ablaze with a film-music concert, while dance is magnificently represented by the great Jean-Christophe Maillot, who choreographs the masterpiece Cinderella for the sublime Ballets de Monte-Carlo. Long live Orange 2026!
