Salzburg from 09/08 to 13/08: Luxury stay in Salzburg

If the city of Salzburg seems so familiar to us, it is thanks to its musical heritage. Legend lives on here, and the city still echoes with the notes of a certain Austrian genius, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was born at number 9 Getreidegasse.  

The Salzburger Festspiele is the most prestigious festival in the world. Thanks to its founders, including Richard Strauss and Herbert von Karajan, who cemented its international reputation, this summer event is a must-see on the opera and music scene. All the greatest artists at the height of their careers gather in Salzburg. 

The rich programme for 2026 offers a few surprises. Who could imagine the exceptional Asmik Grigorian in the role of Carmen or the marvellous Elīna Garanča as Strauss' Ariadne? These phenomenal voices create surprises, as does the ever-impressive Cecilia Bartoli, who appears in Rossini's Il Viaggio a Reims, her favourite composer. The three major titles are the events of Salzburg 2026, featuring Jonathan Tetelman, Marina Viotti, the great conductors Teodor Currentzis and Manfred Honeck, and talented directors Barrie Kosky, Ersan Mondtag and, of course, the Wiener Philharmoniker, an orchestra of dreams!
