A great capital of classical music, Dresden is one of Germany’s most beautiful cities, as evidenced by its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage list. With its magnificent Zwinger Palace, its museums (including one housing Raphael’s famous angel paintings), the Residenzschloss and Pillnitz castles, and its splendid churches, the city boasts a remarkably rich cultural life. As for the city’s emblem, the Semperoper ranks among the finest opera houses in the world.
To celebrate the arrival of the New Year, Dresden showcases its musical refinement through three exceptional evenings in its most prestigious venues. At the legendary Semperoper, the New Year’s Concert of the Staatskapelle Dresden brings together the brilliant conductor Marie Jacquot and the virtuoso pianist Igor Levit in a programme devoted to Beethoven, in an atmosphere of elegance and celebration.
The festivities continue at the Kulturpalast with a sparkling programme of waltzes, polkas and orchestral masterpieces by Strauss, Lumbye, Mascagni and Debussy, performed by the Dresdner Philharmonie in the finest Viennese tradition.
Finally, the magic of Italian opera comes to the Semperoper with La Bohème, Puccini’s timeless masterpiece, brought to life with all the emotion and romance of a captivating production in one of Europe’s most beautiful opera houses.

An exceptional musical journey combining Baroque splendour, great European traditions and lyrical emotions in the heart of Dresden, Germany’s cultural jewel.

Another highlight of the trip is a private guided tour, during which your guide will lead you through Dresden, the fascinating and deeply moving capital of art and music.
