We will discover the most beautiful monuments of the new city of Naples (entrances are not included) such as the Royal Palace, Piazza Plebiscito, the Theater S. Carlo Theatre, Maschio Angioino Castle and the Umberto I Gallery (all from the outside).
Duration: 3 hours walking tour - Departure from your hotel
Naples Monumental
A stroll through the monumental area of Naples, near the sea and the Piazza del Plebiscito, the best-known Neapolitan square, dominated by the church of San Francesco di Paola.
We'll visit: the Royal Palace, seat of the most important rulers of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies; the Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino), the symbol of historic Naples; the Galleria Umberto I and the San Carlo Theatre, the oldest opera house in Europe and one of the most famous and prestigious in the world.
Naples Panoramica
Drive over the hills of Naples to the panoramic part of the city. We'll observe: the monumental part of Naples; via Caracciolo, the promenade with the famous Castel dell'Ovo, where the Greeks founded the city of Parthenope and where the magician Virigile hid an egg whose integrity conditioned the fate of the city; the districts of Chiaia and Mergellina, with the villa communale and the famous cottages. We'll climb the Posillipo hill, where, according to the Romans, "all worries have ceased", and from where the view of the gulf and Vesuvius is literally breathtaking.
Naples from above - Certosa Di San Martino
From Piazzale di San Martino, on the Vomero hill, you can enjoy one of the most fascinating views encompassing the entire city and its golf course. The appointment is an opportunity to visit the monumental complex of the Charterhouse of San Martino, with its magnificent church, one of the highest examples of Neapolitan Baroque.
Behind the Charterhouse stands Castel Sant'Elmo, one of the city's five castles, now a multifunctional center for cultural activities and initiatives.
Archaeological Museum
The National Archaeological Museum of Naples is one of the most important museums in the world.
Its halls house historical collections that form one of the main pillars of Italian and Western cultural history: a collection of frescoes and mosaics, statues, precious objects, famous collections and new installations.
Art stations
Metro Napoli is a veritable showcase for contemporary works of art, so much so that the "art stations" have been repeatedly awarded as the most beautiful in Europe.
A journey along the Naples Metro line and a true cultural tour. Over 200 works on display in the stations, including paintings, sculptures, mosaics and installations, which we'll discover together.
Capodimonte Museum
A visit to discover the Bourbon residence of Capodimonte, which was the scene of important historical events from the Renaissance to the Unity of Italy.
Today, Capodimonte is one of the finest and richest museums in the city and in Italy. The Farnese collection is its original core, rich in masterpieces by Titian and Michelangelo, and integrated over time with acquisitions made by the Bourbons, the Savoys and more recent eras.
