Le Kunsthaus Zurich
The Kunsthaus Zürich is Switzerland's largest art museum, located in the heart of Zurich on Heimplatz. Founded in 1910 by architects Karl Moser and Robert Curjel, it has undergone several extensions, the most recent in 2021.
Its collection covers a vast period, from the thirteenth century to contemporary art, with a particular focus on Swiss art, and includes major works by Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Edvard Munch (the largest collection outside Norway) and Alberto Giacometti, as well as Swiss artists such as Johann Heinrich Füssli, Ferdinand Hodler, Pipilotti Rist and Peter Fischli.
The museum is also renowned for its high-quality temporary exhibitions and varied cultural events.
