Hamburg, the "Belle du Nord", can be proud of its success because today it is truly one of the international cultural capitals. For several years now, Hamburg has been in constant motion, overflowing with artistic and architectural creations, and has been thrilling its visitors. The futuristic construction of the Elbphilharmonie is the perfect symbol of its dynamism, but as a victim of its success, getting seats can be a challenge.

To experience the acoustics of the magnificent Elbphilharmonie intensely, two of the "Big Five" American orchestras are on the bill for this trip. Conducted by the intense Franz Welser-Möst, the Cleveland Orchestra's program includes Bruckner's flamboyant Symphony No. 9. New star conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the Philadelphia Orchestra in Beethoven's heroic Symphony No. 3 and accompanies the divine violinist Lisa Batiashvili in Chausson and Szymanowski.

Another highlight of the trip is the private guide who will take you on a tour of Hamburg, with a choice of the historic Speicherstadt or the futuristic Hafen City, or the famous St. Pauli district or BallinStadt, Hamburg's emigration museum.
