The capital of Bohemia is aptly named the Crown of the World. A city of a hundred steeples, imbued with Baroque style, it delights its visitors: Mozart created Don Giovanni here; Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and also Dostoyevsky, Apollinaire and Rodin paid tribute to it in their works. Along the Vltava or in the center of the former Jewish city, you're sure to fall under Prague's romantic charm.
New Year's Eve is particularly conducive to reverie, especially if a few romantic snowflakes cover the St. Charles Bridge. Two shows are on the program for this wonderful holiday. The immortal and beautiful Traviata will move audiences on the stage of the superb Státní Opera. A colorful New Year's concert at the Rudolfinum (Prague's great concert hall) will bring a festive end to a magical year.
To round off your stay in style, a tour with a private guide will take you on a choice of visits to the City of a Hundred Spires, Prague Castle, the Jewish City, Art Nouveau and Art Deco Prague or Baroque Prague.

To make your stay as enjoyable as possible, we suggest a number of different tours:
- the city of a hundred steeples
- a visit to Prague Castle
- the tour of the Jewish city
- Prague Art Nouveau and Art Deco
- Baroque Prague
The city of a hundred steeples
The walk begins in the vast Old Town Square, where the guide will tell you the story of the Astronomical Clock and the Church of St. Nicholas with its bulbous steeples. It's also an opportunity to learn about the fate of the former Jewish ghetto that lay nearby. From here, take the Royal Way to the 15th-century Pourdrière Tower and the Municipal House, jewels of Czech Art Nouveau.
Rue-sur-les-fossés then takes you to the modern heart of Prague, the huge esplanade of Wenceslas Square, dominated by the National Museum. And your historic journey continues to the Charles Bridge (14th century), where a magnificent view of... the other side of the river awaits you: Prague Castle and Hradcany, the Mala Strana district and Petrin Hill.
Prague Castle
The castle is situated on an ancient rocky outcrop overlooking the Prague skyline. It abounds in historical and artistic treasures. We'll discover St. Vitus Cathedral, the former royal palace, St. George's Basilica and finish with the famous Golden Lane. The castle boasts beautiful gardens with a superb view over the historic heart of the city.
The site is one of Prague's must-see attractions.
A tour of the Jewish quarter
A walking tour that explores the history and customs of the Jewish community, evoking legends such as Rabbi Löw and the Golem. Or the influence of Jews on the arts, culture and heritage of Franz Kafka, Max Brod and many others. You'll discover Jewish museum landmarks such as the Spanish, Pinkas, Maiseil and Klaus synagogues, home to collections and objects of Jewish culture. The rest of the tour is devoted to the mysterious Jewish cemetery, with its 12,000 gravestones, unique in the world.
Prague Art Nouveau and Art Deco
The tour takes you through the architecture of the New Town, with its facades featuring plant motifs, stained-glass windows and magnificent mosaics that bear witness to the splendor of the turn-of-the-century period. The grandiose houses, often referred to as palaces, also feature passageways.
You'll visit the most emblematic: the Lucerna passage and the Koruna pasasge. The walk ends with a visit to the Mucha Museum, which exhibits the works of Alfons Mucha: the Czech poster artist, illustrator and painter, well known for his decorative panels and advertising posters.
Baroque Prague - Mala Strana baroque quarter
Mala Strana is an apogee of Baroque art, with splendid streets lined with pastel-colored houses, sumptuous palaces and churches whose domes rise to infinity.
And don't forget the gardens that conceal Baroque sculptures and fountains. First you'll discover and visit the Church of St. Nicholas, a Baroque masterpiece with a dynamic, undulating façade. Then your journey will take you to the Church of Our Lady of Victory, where you'll discover the statuette of the Little Jesus of Prague, and nearby the Palace of the Order of the Knights of Malta. Opposite the Palais Buquoy (now the French Embassy), the John Lennon wall reminds us of the history of the 20th century.
Cross the Certovka River to reach Kampa Island, where your walk ends.
