Every year, spectators flock to the bleachers of the ancient Roman amphitheater to watch spectacular shows. Everything is done in Verona to do justice to the oversized venue with its amazing acoustics.
This is undoubtedly the most music-loving of the holidays, with performances of the three major titles in the Arena and an exceptional concert by the greatest tenor of our time, Jonas Kaufmann. Verdi's La Traviata, directed by Franco Zeffirelli, is his last and most moving production for Verona, played by the magnificent Lisette Oropesa and the great Ludovic Tézier. Verdi's impressive Nabucco by Gianfranco de Bosio, which has marked generations of music lovers, makes an eagerly awaited return with the great interpreter of the role, Luca Salsi. Finally, Anna Pirozzi, Jgeroy Kunde Kunde and Clementina Margaine will perform Aida, the Festival's iconic opera, in a special 100th anniversary edition. The big show is waiting for you!
