Gastronomic Munich

Let's discover and taste together the best of local gastronomy, stopping at the best stands of the famous "Viktualienmarkt", the food market. It is the largest open-air market in Germany and the favorite meeting point for Munich residents, not only for the quality of the products, but also for the pleasures of sight and smell. Without forgetting the municipal "Biergarten" where the breweries of the city sell their beer in turn according to the concept of pooling. So let us be surprised.

Modern Munich

We are talking here about the "Laptop in the Lederhose". Translate: the laptop in the skin panties. A mixture of tradition and modernity, cliché but reality, Munich happily combines its attachment to the past with its desire to stay in the flow. Many world-renowned architects have met here for projects that do not detract from the character of the city. We will see constructions in the heart of the old town, the new buildings of BMW, the Olympic Park..

Munich, capital of the Nazi movement

Adolf Hitler, Austrian, had come to Munich, artistic capital of Germany, to study painting. Unfortunately he failed the entrance exam to the Academy of Arts and the aftermath of the First World War gave him his chance. The sites of the National Socialist regime are numerous in Munich and the visit will be completed by the memorial of the "White Rose", this visionary resistance movement which came to a tragic end but full of lessons for the future of Germany and of Europe.

In the footsteps of Napoleon, founder of the Kingdom of Bavaria

Yes, it was Napoleon who elevated Bavaria into a kingdom on January 1, 1806. His reforms transformed the country profoundly enough to leave many traces, both in architecture and in the local dialect. It is the whole neo-classical period that we will discover by getting to know the first kings of Bavaria.

From Gothic to Rococo

The evolution of religious architectural art tells us many things about politics, history and daily life over the centuries. By putting the buildings and the context of their construction into perspective, the meaning of the architectural choices becomes clear. This visit will allow you to discover historic Munich and its splendid churches

Munich museums (except Mondays)

Let's discover the main museums of Munich: two Pinakotheks (the old pinakothek with paintings from the new one, the modern art pinakothek) which allow us a linear journey in western pictorial art from the origins to the present day, the Lenbachhaus with the canvases of the "Blue Rider" and the first abstract paintings in history, the Deutsches Museum, one of the most important technical museums in the world... Walk which can be done by bike or by public transport, also a good way to discover a city.
