Operaház Budapest, the Hungarian National Opera house - 2023-2024 Season
The beautiful Budapest Opera House, the Operahaz is a small gem where it is imperative to see an opera, concert or ballet during a stay in the Hungarian capital. The gold and velvet are reminiscent of its history, and the charm that emanates from the theater is simply unique.
The Magyar Allami Operahaz of Budapest has, together with Prague, one of the best opera companies in the world. The professional singers who form the ranks all have a talent worthy of the greatest international stages. They are often joined by renowned guest artists, mainly to Operahaz, the historic hall.
The other theater run by the institution is the Erkel Színház (Erkel Theatre at the beginning of the twentieth century) where voluntarily cheap representations are aimed at the Hungarian public.
