Valletta Baroque Festival
The Valletta Baroque Festival is going into its 9th edition on the midst of a pandemic that has come close to destroying our culture and civilization.
We in Malta have decided to have a reduced festival which is compatible with the health restrictions in force to protect audiences and artists alike.
This edition will take place in its entirety at TEATRU Manoel; a delightful 1731 “theatre a l’italienne” commissioned by the Portuguese Grandmaster Fra Anton Manoel de Vilhena. Despite several 19th century interpolations the theatre has retained its intrinsic baroque character making it an ideal venue to host a baroque festival in a baroque city.
