The great Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel has experienced one of the most dazzling career debuts in decades. Pupil of the famous "El sistema" (education program that enables children, especially disadvantaged social classes to be educated with classical music), he quickly rose in popularity.
Noticed by Simon Rattle, who took him under his wing, Gustavo Dudamel conducts form a very early age the rehearsals of the Berliner Philharmoniker before jumping on the podium, at the head of one of the most prestigious orchestras in the world such as the Wiener Philharmoniker. It is probably his communicative spirit and his beautiful energy that propels him so fast in the world to lead the great symphonies of Beethoven or Mahler.
Since 2008 he holds the position of Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic which has had the audacity to entrust him this great mission. The challenge of youth is a winner, because each season, success is more and more palpable. Gustavo Dudamel is not only a symphonic composer, he also shines at the opera where, from Vienna to Milan, he directs in the most beautiful halls in the world. The rising star of the orchestra direction is constantly surprising us and is undoubtedly one of the greatest personalities of the classical music of our time.
